Creating Your First Agile Release Train (ART)

An Agile Release Train (ART) is a long-lived team of Agile teams, which, along with other stakeholders, incrementally develops, delivers, and where applicable operates, one or more solutions in a value stream. This guide shows you how to create your first ART in Safedevops.app.


Step-by-Step Guide to Creating an ART

1. Navigate to ART Management
From the main navigation sidebar, under the "SAFe Management" section, click on "ART Agile Release Trains" to go to the ART management page.

2. Initiate ART Creation
On the ART Management page, click the "Create your first ART" button to open the creation form. If you already have ARTs, you can use the "Create ART" button in the top right.

3. Fill in ART Details
Complete the form with the necessary details for your ART. This includes a unique Name, a brief Description, the planned Start and End Dates, and the initial Status (e.g., "Planned").

4. Create the ART
After reviewing all the details to ensure they are correct, click the "Create" button to finalize and save your new Agile Release Train.
