Managing PI Objectives
Program Increment (PI) Objectives are a summary of the business and technical goals that an Agile Team or train intends to achieve in the upcoming PI. Safedevops.app provides a dedicated interface to create, track, and manage these objectives, ensuring they align with the overall vision of the Agile Release Train (ART).
The PI Objectives Dashboard
Within the details of a specific Program Increment, the "PI Objectives" tab serves as your central dashboard for managing all objectives for that PI.
1. Objectives Summary
At the top of the dashboard, you'll find a summary section that provides a quick, at-a-glance overview of the PI's progress:
- Overall Completion: A progress bar showing the percentage of completed objectives.
- Total Objectives: The total number of objectives defined for the PI.
- Status Breakdown: A count of objectives in each status category (e.g., Planned, In Progress, Completed).
2. Filtering Objectives
To help you focus on specific items, the dashboard includes powerful filtering options:
- Filter by Team: View objectives assigned to a specific team or see all teams at once.
- Filter by Status: Narrow down the list to objectives with a particular status, such as "At Risk" or "Completed".
Creating and Editing an Objective
You can create a new objective by clicking the "Create Objective" button. This will open a form where you can define its details. Editing an existing objective uses the same form, pre-filled with its current information.
